Schiebel produces the CAMCOPTER S-100 VTOL unmanned air system, a rotorcraft UAV for military, commercial, and humanitarian applications. It operates day/night in adverse weather with 200 km range over land/sea, carrying payloads via GPS waypoints or manual control. Developed 2003-2005, produced in Wiener Neustadt since 2006. Used by 40 customers worldwide including UAE MoD (first 60 units). Facilities in Austria, USA, UAE, Australia. Recent armed variants S-101/S-301 with Thales; selected by EDA for logistics trials.
