
Overview
The Segway Robotic Mobility Platform (RMP) serves as a platform for researchers to build mobile robots. Invented by Dean Kamen, the Segway was unveiled in 2001 and was designed to transform personal transportation with capabilities to carry up to 118 kg, turning in place and equipped with redundant control systems.
