MOTOMAN is Yaskawa's line of industrial robots that have been in operation for over 45 years. First announced in 1977 as Japan's first all-electric industrial robot, nearly 500,000 units have been shipped worldwide. These robots are used across diverse industries including automotive, electronics, semiconductors, biomedical, food processing, and logistics. MOTOMAN robots integrate Yaskawa's proprietary servo motors and control software for applications such as arc welding, spot welding, handling, assembly, and palletizing. The robots support advanced capabilities including IoT connectivity, AI integration, and predictive maintenance through the i³-Mechatronics solution concept.
