Overview
skCUBE is a unique nanosatellite completely designed, manufactured, and operated from Slovakia. It is a 1U CubeSat satellite equipped with advanced technologies including redundant systems, a unique sun-sensor for orientation, high-speed image transmission capabilities, a custom real-time operating system (RTOS), and multiple orientation sensors. The satellite was launched from India on the PSLV rocket in June 2017 and represents Slovakia's first satellite, opening new opportunities for scientists, students, engineers, and radio amateurs while contributing to Slovakia's entry into the European Space Agency (ESA).
