Overview
Ulyx is an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) designed for deep-sea exploration and oceanographic research. With a maximum diving depth of 6,000 meters and autonomy of 24-48 hours, this sophisticated robotic explorer conducts missions without pilot assistance. Equipped with advanced sensors for oceanographic sciences, high-resolution optical imaging with powerful flash, laser profiler for detailed relief mapping, and sonar capabilities to map 50-80 km² of seafloor surfaces, Ulyx actively modifies its trajectory based on detected data indices. It is the only autonomous vehicle in the French Oceanographic Fleet capable of reaching depths comparable to the remotely operated Victor 6000 and the manned Nautile submarine.
