Perseverance

Overview

Perseverance is a semi-autonomous rover the size of a small car designed to explore the surface of Mars. It carries cameras and scientific equipment to search for evidence of past microbial life. The rover is equipped with 23 cameras, seven science instruments including Mastcam-Z and SuperCam, a robotic arm with coring drill, and improved autonomous capabilities that allow it to drive with minimal reliance on instructions from Earth.
