Jennie is a hyper-realistic robotic Labrador retriever puppy built by Tombot as an emotional support animal, aimed at people with dementia and older adults in memory care. Under a plush, soft-fur exterior, nine servo motors drive lifelike head turns, ear twitches, eyebrow raises and tail wags. Capacitive touch sensors, a microphone array and motion sensors let it respond to petting and voice with AI-generated barks and recorded puppy sounds; the battery lasts all day and recharges overnight from a standard wall outlet.
