Where the World's Robots Are Made
A live geographic breakdown of commercial robotics — how many makers and how many models each country ships, sector by sector. Drawn directly from the Robolist.ai market, not a third-party market report. Free to read, cite, and share.
China leads with 43% of all listed models — ahead of United States and Germany. Industrial Arm is the largest single sector. 42 countries build commercial robots across 29 tracked sectors.
1,012 makers · 3,251 models · 42 countries · 29 sectors
Where the money went
The running total of robotics capital we can verify, and the makers behind each month.
Robotics funding we've recorded
189 confirmed rounds over 24 months · 54 from makers not yet in the index
Rounds are read from reported funding announcements and counted once per company per month, however many outlets carry them. Every round links to the newsroom that reported it and shows how many independently did. A round over $50 million needs two; below that, one is normal — a €5M seed is rarely covered twice, and demanding a second source would drop most of the market outside the US. Press wires, link shorteners and funding databases are not counted as newsrooms — a round showing a link with no number beside it comes from a funding database or a company announcement rather than the press. Loans, grants, secondary sales and lifetime totals are not rounds and are excluded. A month with no cell value recorded no confirmed round — a gap in what we have read, not proof of a quiet month. Coverage is still growing, so earlier months are thinner than the market was. Report a round we missed.

How to read this
- Geography is by maker HQ. A robot is attributed to the headquarters country of the company that builds it — not where it's sold or deployed.
- One sector per model. Each model is counted in its primary commercial category. See the methodology for how categories are assigned.
- Active market only. Counts reflect active and announced models from live, non-test company profiles with a known country. Tail countries and sectors are folded into "Other."
Who leads each sector
The countries shipping the most models in each sector, by share of that sector.
