BAE Systems designs and manufactures the Talisman family of autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) for maritime littoral operations, mine countermeasures, and shoreline reconnaissance. The modular multi-role platform includes Talisman M (500kg payload capacity) and Talisman L (50kg, deployable from small vessels). Customers include UK Royal Navy and international defence forces. Systems integrate with combat management platforms and use lithium-ion battery propulsion. Developed at BAE's Underwater Systems business in Waterlooville, UK.
