KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology) is a South Korean research institute that developed humanoid robots including Mahru (2005) and Kibo (2011). Mahru is a full-size humanoid robot capable of autonomous walking and household tasks, controllable via motion-capture suit. Kibo is a humanoid robot with expressive features, voice command understanding, and 43 degrees of freedom designed for interaction and hugging.
