Medicaroid Corporation develops and manufactures the hinotori™ Surgical Robot System, Japan's first domestically designed robotic-assisted surgery platform. The system is primarily used in urology, adult surgery, and gynecology, offering high maneuverability, compactness, and safety. hinotori™ reproduces surgeons' sensitive movements and has demonstrated precision in simulated neonatal cavities as small as 125 mL. Approved by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in August 2020, the system is currently approved for use only in Japan. Medicaroid is a joint venture between Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sysmex Corporation.
