HUBO is a walking humanoid robot series developed by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Seoul, South Korea. The original HUBO (KHR-3) was released in 2005 and designed by Prof. Jun-Ho Oh. HUBO robots are full-size bipedal humanoids capable of walking, running, dancing, and grasping objects. The series has been used in research and disaster response applications, including participation in the 2015 DARPA Robotics Challenge. KAIST partnered with Hanson Robotics to create Albert HUBO, which features an animatronic head modeled after Albert Einstein.
