Overview
The Lely Astronaut A5 Next is an automatic milking robot for dairy cows, representing over 30 years of development. It features a hybrid arm (electric and pneumatic) for silent and stress-free milking, a new Teat Detection System 2+ combining laser and camera for optimal attachment, a new AOS-2 operating system, automatic milk filter, pre-treatment brush unit for udder cleaning, eartag ID for entry-level identification, and the I-flow concept for free cow traffic, allowing cows to decide when to be milked. Over 50,000 units have been installed globally across more than 40 countries.
