Overview

Geminoid HI-1 is an android copy of its creator, Hiroshi Ishiguro, designed to reproduce the voice and head movements of Ishiguro or another operator. Constructed using silicone rubber, pneumatic actuators, powerful electronics, and hair from Ishiguro's own scalp, it is intended to study human-robot interaction and what it means to be human.
