The Hyundai Chairless Exoskeleton (H-CEX) is a passive industrial exoskeleton designed to reduce fatigue and injury risk for workers who must maintain a seated or semi-squat posture for extended periods. It uses a knee-joint sustaining mechanism that locks to support the user's body weight in a sitting position without requiring a chair, enabling prolonged static work positions during automotive assembly and other manufacturing tasks. The device transfers load from the hips through the exoskeleton frame to the ground, relieving pressure on the user's legs and lower back.
