Overview
The XACT Robotic System is a hands-free, patient-mounted robot for CT-guided percutaneous procedures such as biopsy and ablation. Working from a CT-based plan, its S-Drive technology both inserts and steers the instrument to the target in real time, compensating for patient breathing and movement while the physician retains clinical decision-making. Xact reports sub-2mm average tip-to-target accuracy in clinical studies; the system received FDA clearance in 2019, with clearance for ablation and a remote control unit (ACE Xtend) following in 2022.
