Diego-san is a humanoid robot designed to study cognitive and social development in infants. Modeled after a 1-year-old baby, it features a giant head to accommodate hardware powering its expressive face. The robot is equipped with 27 servo motors controlling facial expressions, high-definition cameras in the eyes, and 44 pneumatic actuators for body joints, providing 71 degrees of freedom total.
