Overview
HyQ is a four-legged quadruped robot designed for rough terrain missions and to study quadrupedal locomotion. It can walk, trot, jump over 20 cm, rear like a horse, squat, and kick things using powerful hydraulic actuators. The robot features torque-controlled legs with variable stiffness and a wide repertoire of motion skills that allows it to negotiate challenging and dynamically changing terrain.
