On April [XXX], 2026, Nuro was operating a Prius test vehicle in auto mode on [XXX], a street in Santa Clara, CA with a single travel lane in the direction of travel, when a motorcycle attempted to overtake the Nuro vehicle from behind. In so doing, the motorcyclist clipped the side of the Nuro vehicle, causing some minor property damage to the Nuro vehicle. The motorcyclist then pulled over to the side of the road, and both parties exchanged information. Neither the motorcyclist nor the occupants of the Nuro vehicle were injured, and law enforcement was not called to the scene.

On Wednesday, July [XXX], a Nuro vehicle operating in autonomous mode stopped at sign-controlled intersection, then began to cautiously proceed through the intersection to make a left turn. Just after the Nuro vehicle began to move into the intersection, it was struck from behind by another vehicle.

On Tuesday, June [XXX], 2025 a Nuro vehicle operating in autonomous mode encountered a trash bin that had been placed away from the curb, sticking out into the travel lane, and due to operator error, the side mirror tapped it. The bin was not damaged or moved, but a plastic attachment to the Nuro vehicle sustained negligible damage. Law enforcement was not involved and there were no injuries reported or VRUs present.
