While the Waymo AV was stopped, the garbage truck began to reverse, and the rear of the garbage truck made contact with the front of the stationary Waymo AV. On June [XXX], 2026 at 8:14 PM PT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in San Francisco, California was in a collision involving an SUV on [XXX] near [XXX]. The Waymo AV was traveling southbound on [XXX] when it came to a stop in-lane to yield to an SUV. The SUV was facing south and rolling backwards northbound on [XXX], partially in the southbound lane and partially in the northbound lane. The Waymo AV began to reverse in lane. The SUV continued to roll backwards and the rear right side of the SUV made contact with the front left side of the Waymo AV. Both the Waymo AV and the SUV remained stopped momentarily, then the SUV continued to roll backwards, making further contact with the left side of the stationary Waymo AV, before briefly stopping. The SUV began to roll backwards again, at which point the driver of the SUV exited the moving SUV. The SUV continued to roll backwards northbound on [XXX], and the rear right side of the SUV made contact with the front left side of a second stationary Waymo AV ([XXX]) that was facing south, yielded in-lane behind the initial collision with the first Waymo AV. At the time of the impacts, both Waymo AVs' Level 4 ADS were engaged in autonomous mode. All three vehicles sustained damage, and both Waymo AVs were towed away. The Waymo AV was traveling eastbound, with its hazard lights activated in preparation for a passenger dropoff, in a parking lot at [XXX]. The Waymo AV maneuvered to the right and began to travel underneath a carport on the south side of the parking lot at a low rate of speed. As the Waymo AV proceeded forward, the sensor mounted on the roof of the Waymo AV made contact with a support beam on the underside of the carport. On June [XXX], 2026 at 4:51 PM MT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Scottsdale, Arizona was in a collision involving a set of barrier arms at the entrance of a parking lot at [XXX]. The Waymo AV was traveling eastbound in a parking lot at [XXX] and slowing to yield to an SUV stopped at the entrance to a parking area ahead with a closed set of barrier arms. After the barrier arms lifted and the SUV proceeded forward, the Waymo AV proceeded forward at a low rate of speed. As the barrier arms began to lower, the Waymo AV continued to proceed and the front left and front right side of the Waymo AV made contact with the barrier arms. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The Waymo AV and both barrier arms sustained damage. On June [XXX], 2026 at 10:48 AM MT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in Tempe, Arizona was in a collision involving a pickup truck on [XXX] near [XXX]. The Waymo AV was traveling northbound in the second from the right lane on [XXX] when it slowed to a stop for a queue of traffic at a red light at the intersection with [XXX]. As traffic ahead proceeded in the northbound lanes, the Waymo AV began to proceed at a low rate of speed, activated its left turn signal, and began to cross the white lane line into the right of two designated left turn lanes in a space between a pickup truck and a passenger car. The left turn lanes were stopped for a red light. When the light turned green, the Waymo AV and the pickup truck began proceeding forward, and the front right side of the pickup truck made contact with the left side of the Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. Both vehicles sustained damage. After the light turned green and traffic ahead advanced, the Waymo AV began to proceed forward. At the same time, a motorcycle helmet fell from the back of a motorcycle traveling in front of the Waymo AV and into the Waymo AV's lane of travel, and the undercarriage of the Waymo AV made contact with the helmet. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The Waymo AV and the helmet sustained damage. On June [XXX], 2026 at 8:43 AM PT a Waymo Autonomous Vehicle ("Waymo AV") operating in San Francisco, California was in a collision involving a heavy truck on [XXX] near [XXX]. The Waymo AV was stopped facing west on [XXX] for a red light at the intersection with [XXX] when a garbage truck that was stopped at the intersection facing north in the rightmost lane on [XXX], initiated a right turn onto [XXX]. The garbage truck slowed to a stop in the intersection, partially on eastbound [XXX], and the Waymo AV reversed to create additional room for the garbage truck to pass to the Waymo AV's left before coming to a stop to yield to a passenger car stopped behind the Waymo AV. The garbage truck continued to turn right onto [XXX], then slowed to a stop in close proximity to the Waymo AV, and the passenger car reversed. The Waymo AV reversed, and slowed to a stop. The garbage truck proceeded to complete the right turn and pass the Waymo AV to the left, and the front left side of the garbage truck made contact with the front left side of the stationary Waymo AV. At the time of the impact, the Waymo AV's Level 4 ADS was engaged in autonomous mode. The Waymo AV sustained damage.
