ViTai Robotics (纬钛机器人) is founded by Dr. Li Rui (MIT PhD, student of Prof. Edward Adelson) who invented the world's first visuotactile sensor with resolution exceeding human fingertips. Xiaomi Strategic Investment led their angel round (~100M RMB). Makes the GF-series visuotactile sensors using vision-based gelatin contact imaging: a camera behind a transparent gel pad captures deformation to infer force distribution at 10 µm spatial resolution, up to 120 FPS.
