Overview

Atlas HD is a hydraulic humanoid robot designed to operate both outdoors and inside buildings with whole-body dynamic stabilization. It features two-handed mobile manipulation, can sense obstacles and negotiate rough terrain autonomously or under teleoperation, and is electrically powered with hydraulic actuation. The robot was capable of running, jumping, and performing backflips, demonstrating agility and balance.
