Why Fieldwork Raspberry Harvester trended in Q2 2026
Secured new investment from SEED Innovations to keep scaling its autonomous raspberry and soft-fruit picking robot.
Fieldwork Robotics secured new investment from SEED Innovations during the quarter to keep scaling its autonomous raspberry and soft-fruit picking robot. Harvesting delicate fruit like raspberries is one of the hardest problems in agricultural robotics — the produce bruises easily and hides among foliage — which is why progress here draws attention despite modest deployment numbers.
The funding is aimed at scaling rather than proving the concept: Fieldwork's platform uses soft grippers and multiple arms to pick in polytunnels, and the capital is meant to push it from trials toward commercial harvesting.
The open question is throughput and cost. A robot that can pick a raspberry without crushing it is a technical achievement; picking enough of them, cheaply enough to compete with seasonal labor, is the economic test still ahead.
#5 in the agriculture for the Q2 2026 report — a new entry this quarter.
