Why DEEP Robotics X30 trended in Q2 2026
Began commercial patrol of a 40km underground power-cable tunnel network for SP Group in Singapore, its first overseas power-utility deployment.
The X30 marked its first overseas power-utility deployment in the quarter, beginning commercial patrol of a roughly 40-kilometer underground power-cable tunnel network for SP Group in Singapore. Confined, hazardous tunnel inspection is a natural fit for a rugged quadruped: the environment is dangerous and monotonous for people and well-suited to a walking robot carrying sensors.
For DEEP Robotics, a Chinese quadruped maker competing with Boston Dynamics, an international utility contract is a credibility milestone — evidence its robots are being trusted with critical infrastructure outside its home market.
The question is breadth. A single utility deployment demonstrates capability; recurring contracts across utilities and geographies are what would establish the X30 as an inspection standard rather than a showcase win.
#10 in the quadruped for the Q2 2026 report — a new entry this quarter.
