Why Locus Array trended in Q2 2026
Launched Locus Array, a mobile robot with an integrated picking arm for fully autonomous fulfillment, at MODEX with DHL as first deployer.
Locus Robotics used the MODEX trade show to launch Locus Array, extending its warehouse fleet from mobile transport into picking. Where Locus's established bots move goods to human pickers, the Array adds an integrated robotic arm aimed at fully autonomous fulfillment — the robot both travels to the shelf and picks the item.
Naming DHL as first deployer gave the launch immediate credibility: a global logistics operator willing to trial autonomous picking signals demand beyond the demo floor. It also marks Locus's move up the automation stack, from assisting workers to replacing a manual step.
The hard part is reliability at warehouse speed. Autonomous picking across varied SKUs has defeated many attempts; a launch with a marquee first customer is a strong start, but pick rates and error rates in live fulfillment will decide whether the Array scales.
#6 in the amr-warehouse for the Q2 2026 report — a new entry this quarter.
