Overview
Tien Kung, also known as Tiangong, is an advanced full-sized humanoid robot developed collaboratively by UBTech Robotics and the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre (X-Humanoid). Standing approximately 1.7 meters tall, it represents a significant leap in bipedal robotics with the ability to move nimbly across complex terrains at speeds up to 10–12 km/h, including slopes, stairs, sand, and snow. The robot features a biomimetic torso and 20 degrees of freedom, enabling fluid, human-like motion with high stability and endurance. Designed primarily for research, Tien Kung supports integration of advanced components such as lidar sensors, Nvidia Jetson Orin computing kits, and five-fingered robotic hands, making it a flexible platform for diverse applications. It is priced competitively at about 299,000 yuan (~$41,200 USD), making it accessible to research institutions and development centers.
